How to order coffee

• Café solo - Espresso, strong dark coffee, the standard form of coffee in Spain.

• Cortado - Espresso with a drop of milk

• Café con leche - Coffee with milk, cup is bigger than in the rest of coffees and is the typical for breakfast

• Café doble - double espresso

• Manchado - (in Seville) a little coffee and a lot of milk.

• Carajillo - espresso spiked with brandy

• Bombón - (in Valencia) Espresso with condensed milk

• Con hielo - An espresso and a glass of ice (in Valencia is called "café del tiempo")

• Americano - Café Solo with more water added

• Café vienés– café solo topped with chocolate and whipped cream (from Vienna)

• Descafeinado: decaffeinated

• de máquina: decaffeinated from the espresso machine

• de sobre: an instant coffee packet poured into a cup of hot milk
